Depositing money onto your MavCARD creates a prepaid declining balance account, functioning similarly to a debit card.
You can use your MavCARD to make purchases all over campus and at select off-campus businesses.
Funds deposited onto your card are non-transferable and cannot be used to pay tuition.
Deposit Online
Students, faculty, and staff can easily deposit funds into their MavCARD accounts online using a credit card through MavCARD Online. In addition, you can:
- View your transaction history
- Manage your account settings
You also have the option to grant family members and friends access to view your account and make deposits on your behalf.
Use the Free Mobile App
MavCARD Services now offers a new mobile app, GET, providing enhanced functionality and a streamlined design for both the app and website experience.
Key Benefits of the GET App:
- Deposit Money and Track Spending: Easily add funds and monitor your balance and transactions.
- Save Credit Card Information: Securely store payment details for faster deposits.
- Locate Merchants and View Store Information: Find participating merchants and check store details through the app.
- Report Lost MavCARDs: Quickly report a lost or stolen MavCARD for added security.
- Upload ID Photos: Upload photos for your MavCARD directly from the app.

You can add money to your MavCARD in person at the MavCARD Services Office, located in Milo Bail Student Center, Room 216. Our office hours are:
- Monday – Friday | 8 A.M. – 5 P.M. (Closed on holidays)

Deposit Cash to Your MavCARD
There are convenient MavMONEY Cash-to-Card machines across campus that allow you to deposit cash directly onto your MavCARD. These machines provide a simple way to ensure you have funds available for purchases, dining, printing, and more. You can easily load your MavCARD at any of the locations listed below.

Important Information
Before adding funds to your MavCARD, please review the Cardholder Agreement .
Cardholder Responsibility
You are responsible for any deposits made via credit card or check, including those that do not clear. Additionally, you are responsible for any purchases made against those deposits.
Returned Payments
Checks that are returned or credit card transactions that are rejected will result in an immediate removal of the associated funds from your account.
A $30 fee will be charged for each returned check. This fee may be deducted directly from your declining balance account.
Account Holds
The University reserves the right to place a hold on your account if a deposit is returned or rejected.
Adding Money by Check
If you wish to add funds by mailing a check:
- Download the Deposit Form: MavCARD Deposit Form
- Complete the Form: Fill out all required details to ensure accurate processing.
- Mail the Form: Send the completed form, along with your payment, to the MavCARD Services office at:
