This spring and summer, while UNO was in remote teaching, learning, and working mode, a temporary pause was put in place on all UNO flag lowerings, which recognize members of the Maverick community who have recently passed away.
To ensure that these individals, as well and their friends and family, receive the same recognition and respect, the UNO flag will remain lowered from Thursday, Oct. 1, through Sunday, Oct. 4.
The individuals who are being honored with this special flag lowering are:
-
Donald Grandgenett, College of Education, Health, and Human Sciences
-
Jim Thorson, College of Public Affairs and Community Service
Our thoughts are with the family and friends of all of these Mavericks, whom we thank for their commitment to UNO and the academic goals of all of our students.
